Coming from Canada, we expected the room and bathroom to be quite small by our standards, and they were, but that was not a surprise and didn’t take away from the overall experience. The service was excellent, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good. The location was also fantastic, making it very convenient to explore Kyoto and get around the area. The hotel is close to Gion and many restaurants, shops, and attractions, while still being a comfortable place to come back to after a long day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again when visiting Kyoto."

The location is also hard to beat if you are looking to spend time in the HIgashiyama area. Definitely not a one night and out of there experience. Spend several days here relaxing and exploring"
