"Comfortable room, friendly staff. Had pleasant meal one night, and enjoyed cooked breakfast. Spent few hours in pub lounge, great atmosphere. Small point, we were in room 9 which was noisy at night due to extractor fan out
side. Other than that we enjoyed our stay."

"The house was great, bigger than expected, all very clean. The hosts even left us bread and milk which was great and helpful. Would definitely come back"
"The accommodation is a quaint little cottage in a tiny village.
It is equipped with everything your house would normally be equipped with. There's a TV in the living room, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen and two good size bedrooms. It can easily fit 6 people if two are willing to sleep in the living room and you bring your own inflatable beds. The owners even though about EU guests, because there's an extension lead that takes EU plugs with its own proper UK plug to plug into a wall....
"The property was very clean, Everything in the house was in working order. We had a comfortable stay. There were no shops nearby. The Church inn needs to be booked ahead of time. Our group of 8 had no room at the inn on our first night.
All in all a very memorable stay."
"The place was in excellent location, the stay was clean and tidy with all supplies you need kept ready.
The hosts Andrew and Lucy are incredible, supportive and very friendly. They are great hosts.
There's an Aldi just about 2miles from the stay too.
The rooms are big and kept very clean. The kitchen and lounge is very big too, we loved the place so much that we didn't feel like coming back. The kids said that too."

We stayed 3 nights at the Kingscroft Guest House. Vol was very welcoming from the moment we walked in their front door. He was very detailed in explaining how everything worked in our room, as well as other features of the house. He often gave us tips for exploring and eating in the area. There were many options for breakfast and Victoria was spending time during the day to test new recipes to please people from different countries and cultures. We enjoyed her efforts to cook both...

The bathroom was really clean with quality fixtures. The room was beautiful and the bed comfortable. It's on an old farm on the outskirts of town so it was really quiet.

My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. This location was perfect! It allowed us to stay out of the city in a more relaxed and less commercial inn, so that we could truly get a feel for the area. The staff was very welcoming when we arrived around 9pm that evening. We took advantage of the restaurant one evening and my sons and...

This was a very nice space. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower had awesome water pressure. The room was however, very warm so we had to open the window the tiny amount that it opens. Unfortunately, the street below is very busy and loud. This noise made it difficult for me to get any rest.

I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included.
My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is.

I rented a room here for a family of three, and it was convenient to where we were going and places to eat. It's in a lovely neighborhood.
Overall, it was affordable and clean. Communication with the manager is quick and convenient, mostly through email. There's an onsite caretaker that we saw in the mornings. I highly recommend it for an affordable stay.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a beautiful example of a victorian grand dame, elegant and gracious. The menu is a little lacking in finesse and could use being updated.
