「We had a lovely stay here, nice breakfast included, 5 minute drive from Hope and easy access to lots of walking routes.」

「Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. 」

「We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. 「The property has an imposing stance and even before entering, suggests a degree of elegance and style. The start was not good, however, as upon entering the room, I found that it had not been serviced. I cannot remember if I received an apology - suggesting that maybe I didn't - but the hotel deducted the price of two bottles of wine from a dinner for 8 as a paliative. 「We stayed in Owls Burrow. The Room was lovely. Cheesecake in a dome on arrival. Jug of water. Tea and Coffee Facilities. Nespresso Machine. Dressing Gowns. Fan if needed. Complimentary Toiletries to use while staying. Mattress comfortable. However 3 of the pillows were lumpy or flat. Be aware that the room faces a busy road. 「The room was spacious, warm, and ideal for 2 people. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with the local area. Food breakfast excellent choice, evening - good choice available throughout the menu. 」

「Stunning location but Very Small old TV in the room, sadly no hot water at 6pm one evening… a hot bath intended after a long hike…sadly din’t happen. Good food, good beer and friendly staff. Close to road so some road noise on a night and early morning.」

「Lovely clean room, and comfortable bed. The bar area was nice with a lot of choice. We ate at the restaurant- food was lovely but the service was poor. After we had our starter, it took over an hour for our mains to arrive. Nobody came to check on us or apologise for the delay. I had to grab a passing barman to ask for more drinks and after being there an hour and a quarter, chase up our mains. Such a shame because the food was very tasty but I wouldn’t eat there again 」
