「We had a lovely stay at Ensana, Buxton Crescent. The room exceeded expectations & the Spa & swimming pool was perfect. The only criticism during our stay was the evening meal at the restaurant. We didn’t feel the food & service given matched the quality you would expect from a 5 star hotel. There are plenty of choices within walking distance of the hotel which we preferred. 」
「The hotel had lots of character. We couldnt fault the room. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The little touches like fresh milk and drinks in the fridge on arrival. Packed lunch every mornimg of our stay. Ideal location for exploring. The pianist in the restaurant in the evening was lovely.The food was very good.」
「There was little or no noise from the pub. The only noise near my room was other guests arriving and departing. Parking was no problem. Staff were very pleasant and, due to them, I was able to get my head down in good time as I had been up all the previous night. This was followed by a very sound night's sleep. Breakfast was perfectly adequate for me (cereal and toast). The evening meal I had booked was again perfectly satisfactory. For my one night's stay, the experience was fine. 」

「Had a lovely 2 night stay at Compton guesthouse. Clean and comfortable very large room with ensuite bathroom (including a bathtub) lovely victorian building. Didnt see any staff during our stay but this was not an issue as given check in instructions via text message. Short walk to centre with numerous bars and restraunts. Will definitely stay again.」

「The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. 」

「The 18th century appearance of this inn evokes old style romanticism. The bar and dining area reflect the same. The food is honest pub fare. The room still smelled fresh from a recent renovation. The room was clean and the super king bed was very comfortable. Definitely worth the visit and keenly priced. 」
