Hotel lobby and bar area is really nice. Lovely decorated, clean and amazing views. The lawn area at back also lovely to sit and have a drink in the sun. Bedroom area was ok - grand looking, spacious and comfortable bed but bathroom in the room could go with an upgrade (looks old). Throughout the hotel lots of paint chipped, and our friends who were in another room (which was meant to be an upgrade) had cracked window. Feels like some areas of hotel are really nice, whilst others really need some TLC/an upgrade. Can’t comment on what the spa is like as we never went. The service in bar area is very slow, and when compare to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Scotland, certainly isn’t at the level I would expect. Breakfast very basic too - limited continental options, and the hot dishes weren’t anything to shout about. The avocado and toast I had, was poor presentation, a bit bland and on very basic bread (no nice bakery sourdough that you normally get in 4/5 star hotels). For the money we paid hotel definitely doesn’t have a wow factor about it. Final point, drinks are very expensive - £25 for one glass of mirival rose (you can buy a bottle in supermarket for £18 - hotel will purchase even cheaper at a trade price too) so the margin they are making is lot

Amazing hotel! So beautiful, clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It’s a great location, made it easy to get to the most popular spots. The cinema was really cool

A fantastic place. Perfect location in the city. Wonderful old building with loads of character, renovated to a very high standard. Bar / restaurant is a great place to be. All the staff were fantastic, attentive and friendly. Food is superb. Will stay there again.

OMG-my stay was absolutely fabulous! The staff, the apartment room-I literally could not have had a better stay! The room looked like something out of a magazine, unreal. I will definitely stay here again, highly recommend! The location was perfection as well, thanks for a perfect visit!!
