The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us.

It’s a beautiful home located, in our opinion, in the best spot in Nikko as it is easy to walk to the popular areas as well as catch the bus to go up to the mountain. My wife and I just completed a delightful 2-day stay at this impeccable property. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The well-designed room was very comfortable and very reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable as well. The shower had the best shower head we have ever experienced in any hotel ever! This was the perfect, quiet place to rest easy while visiting the nearby shrines and Tobu World Square. Highly recommended!

Mr. Ban runs a great guesthouse. If you're not vegetarian, get full board. It's a bit hard to find. Directions: Take bus from stop 1A at Nikko Train Station. Get off at stop 13. Walk up hill past Saitoh Dental Clinic. Walk to end of high stone wall on right. Continue past grassy area on right. A 2nd stone wall begins. Take right at first opening and bear right. Gasthof Ami is the big house at the far end.

Onsen was very nice and clean. The outdoor area was beautiful! They have everything you need already stocked: shampoo, conditioner, body wash and then towels, hair dryers, lotions and other body care items.
