Great location with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and responsive, and they resolved any issues quickly. The hotel also offers a good variety of quality food options. The facilities are clean, and our room had a wonderful view of the city. There are a few areas that could be improved. The property is somewhat dated, so more frequent inspections and proactive maintenance would help identify and resolve issues before guests encounter them....

We arrived at the Renaissance Xi'an Hotel without particularly high expectations, but the hotel exceeded them in every way. We had a truly enjoyable stay. The hotel location indicated on expedia is that of the former Hyatt hotel. This hotel is a 30 minute cab ride from there. This does not matter if you are planning organized tours, but is annoying if your goal is to explore the inner-city walls by foot.

Hotel is convenient to shopping. Have great service and amenities but it's a few blocks away from a classy location. They were selling live animals for food next door to property.

This hotel sets the bar for guest service. Before arriving I requested a taxi to pick me up at the airport, and was met outside the baggage claim. As soon as I entered the hotel an employee met me in the lobby, took me straight to my room, where we completed check-in. Buffet breakfast offered numerous Chinese and Western choices (longyan, my favorite Chinese fruit, was available), all delicious. We stayed here last year and against this year. Great location next to the subway line as we took the bullet train to Xian from Beijing. We stayed at the executive room, so we have choices of breakfast at the lounge or downstairs at the buffet, great selection of breakfast menu, indoor swimming pool was awesome, both my 10 & 8 year olds enjoyed their stay here. There's a decent hot pot place across the street from the hotel in the mall, if you don't mind people smoking at the tables around...

Better than I expected. This hotel is literally excellent in every facet.

The hotel was good but the food was terrible. Breakfast was fine but the dinner and the drinks were horrendous. The service during dinner also left a lot to be desired.

The room and breakfast were great. The internet was somewhat slow at peak time. Better use the blue cable instead of the wireless. This eliminates the frequent need to reconnect.
