「The house is great for a large family! It is conveniently located within walking distance to the marketplace. The hosts were very attentive and responded to us within minutes when we had questions. We really enjoyed the house, unfortunately the pool was not heated and the weather was on the colder side during our two week stay so the pool went mainly unused. If you are looking for a large house in proximity to beaches and activities this house fits the bill.」

It is kind of a boarding house situation with different guests in different bedrooms I missed that it wasn't air conditioned in the description. Temp was ok at night but pretty warm mid afternoon. 「Everything was top notch, clean, modern and worked well. Cute place and two large private rooms were perfect for two single people traveling together for work. The only glitch was on checkin - the code did not work and because it was so late we could not get in touch with the host. We got VRBO involved, and they had an alternate contact. The issue was relived within about 45 mins - we were sent a new code and got in to the unit. II was quite impressed with the responsiveness of VRBO!」

「We stayed at Mahalo Hale for 4 nights in April 2026, and it was an awesome place !!Communication before and during our stay with the Host Lauren was quick and very helpful. 「Good access to Brennecke's Beach. Host tries, but is not in Hawaii ... if you need anything sorted out, it may not happen. Place is OK but being allowed to run down somewhat. Not all A/C units worked; we were fine, but this may be a problem in spring/summer/fall.」
