This is a lovely new hotel, very helpful friendly staff and one of the very best Onsens we’ve experienced in Japan (this is my third trip). Really fantastic- new, clean, three pools- outstanding. The hotel is 35 minutes S of Hakuba by car and an hour by shuttle bus, and the shuttle only runs to and from once per day so without a car you don’t have many options. Omachi, the nearest town is a fairly long walk. Recommend having a rental car if you stay here.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Room was excellent with an amazing Mountain View. Full amenities and top notch service. Staff goes above and beyond and are personable and friendly, even as English speaking tourists. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect mix of made to order hot dishes along with a large spread of buffet items.

Perfect stay at Hotel JAL City Toyama! The room was perfect and equipped with everything I needed. I especially loved the laundry information feature on the TV such a smart and convenient detail. Such a great cottage that had everything we needed. Super clean, warm, walking distance to the ticket booths for Iwatake and Hakuba Brew Pub! So much room and comfort. Bathroom was great, the kitchen super clean and had everything we needed. Next time we'll load up the little fridge and not have to rely on going out for dinner so much. The cabins are so nice inside. All light wood paneled and not your typical Japanese insulation; they stayed warm the whole day and night! We will be coming back...
