Although it is a little out of the way and up an incline, there are multiple frequent transport options and even a shuttle bus which can take you back and forth from Gora Station. "Extremely beautiful and wonderful spot to go to. Not a lot of food immediately around, but take a bus over to the station and you'll find a lot. Sadly not 5-stars because expedia markets this hotel for 2-6 people per room, but when you book a room, it only does so for 2, and on arrival you have to pay to have the other 4 stay as well. "

"Hotel is very close to the ropeway and offers a shuttle bus to the main station which you really do need. Bedding arrangement is hard as a rock so be aware of that. The hotel itself is very dated and no especially clean. However I found that part of the old school charm. The included meals were absolutely outstanding traditional kaiseki style. "The hosts were amazing. Totally went above and beyond! I was offered to be driven to Omurayama. They also offered to drive me back but I opted for the bus (for the experience!) Also, I was super impressed by one of the female workers speaking so many languages! I'm also a super picky eater but the traditional breakfast was amazing. Last but not least, when I checked out I was given the offer to drive me to the station. They're just such lovely and kind people!"

"Staff were very kind and respectful. Room was clean and spacious. Room had a gorgeous view of the river and trees. We enjoyed the very authentic traditional Japanese food served at breakfast and dinner. The public onsen is fantastic and the area also includes a sauna and a cold plunge. Be aware that guests with large tattoos are not permitted. Would not recommend the Japanese traditional room for guests over 5’8ft as the doorways are very low. My boyfriend had hit his head numerous times....

"The property is a little bit away from the train station and up the hill, but shuttle is provided between 1 and 5 pm every day for pickup. We arrived later, and decided to walk despite being given the option to have them pick us up by request. Checkin was simple and straightforward, we were given instructions on paper and in English. The hotel is a little older, but meticulously maintained cleanliness made up for it. We stayed only one night, and were pleasantly surprised that “half-board”...
