"The hotel staff were all really, really nice. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel staff were all really, really nice. The room was beautifully clean, although we did have a small problem with our air-conditioning unit which was promptly fixed and the fridge temperature was a little bit too low because we had two cans of Coca-Cola exploded as they had frozen. The swimming pool was just the right size, although the quality of the water was not the best. It was a bit cloudy and there were areas of the pool that had floating scum on them. We did bring this to the attention of the maintenance folks who did address it. But the Pool could have been cleaner. The beds were beautifully comfortable, the pillows were beautifully comfortable, the water pressure was fantastic, the daily housekeeping was also fantastic. I would totally stay at this hotel again."

"A nice little surprise with not knowing anything about the hotel before checking in. Our family needed a place to stay for the night before going to Universal Studios the next day and chose Amarano for its proximity. The best review comes from my 13-year old daughter who is very particular at her young age of the hotels we stay in, She was very happy with all accommodations in this boutiqueish hotel. Very clean, larger than we expected room, upscale decor, friendly staff, and a stylish outdoor heated pool and hot tub area. Continental breakfast can be added that is much better than your expected continental breakfast. Would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area looking for a place. FYI $50/night parking but street parking is available nearby."

"Glendale Express is an up and coming major hotel location: convenient to both east Hollywood and Glendale/Burbank areas. It needs a gym/workout space, however. The room was spacious and quiet. The air conditioner was especially quiet and worked perfectly. The refrig was huge and very cold: excellent. The elevators were clean and fast. The cable TV, however, is hooked to a cable service that does not allow the hotel guest to view a guide that shows what programs are showing or are upcoming in the next hours. Get a better cable provider ! We really liked the retro Formica bathroom sink. The continental breakfast treats and coffee were just the right amount. The coffee was very good. There needs to be a little more seating in the lobby. Maybe some cafe tables by those big windows..."
