"Our door’s security latch was broken and the room phone didn’t work so it didn’t exactly feel like the most secure room. Also, the parking kinda sucks with you having to either trap your car behind another car or give the front desk your car key so they can pull your car out to free others. So that didn’t feel super safe either. But besides that, it was a perfect hotel"

"We recently stayed at the Fairmont Miramar and while the property itself is beautiful and the location is great, our experience started off very uncomfortable. Shortly after checking into our room, housekeeping entered without knocking while my daughter had just gotten out of the shower and was sitting on the bed wrapped in a towel. Thankfully I noticed in time before he fully walked in, but it was still very upsetting and embarrassing. He then asked when we were leaving, which made the situation even more awkward. Privacy and basic courtesy are extremely important when staying at a hotel, especially with children present. I understand mistakes can happen, but this definitely impacted the start of our stay. I do want to mention that after informing management about the incident, they were apologetic and credited $150 back to my stay, which I appreciated. Also, just a heads up for future guests: be prepared for the incidental hold to be around $300 per night, and valet parking is currently $79 per night, so those extra costs can add up quickly. Aside from the incident, the staff was generally polite and the hotel amenities and location were very nice. I just hope management reinforces privacy procedures with housekeeping staff moving forward."

"The room was clean and updated. The staff was helpful and the Restaurant was wonderful "

"The room needs updating. Not enough electrical outlets, some didn't work. The lighting could be better. It was difficult to figure out how to turn lights on. The ambient light switch was all the way at the end behind a lamp between the second bed and the window. The switch by the door was useless and only lit a small portion. The bathroom didn't have enough spots to hang wet towels. Considering this is a room for a larger number of people, I'd expect the room to accommodate that number of people better. The fridge was leaking when we came in. The beds were comfortable, although I wish we could get a comforter for the sofa bed, not just blankets. The pool was a hit and the restaurant by the pool was very good. We had dinner and breakfast there. All the staff was amazing and accommodating, even getting us a back area elevator ride when a special event was taking up the lobby elevators and the wait was very long. Very appreciative."
