"It was wonderful. We stayed in the Casa Blanca, Bogie and Bacall room. We practically had the upstairs to ourselves which was very nice. I loved the architecture, mission antique furniture, paintings and views. It felt like heaven to be there. Casa Blanca is very spacious and cozy. We were attending an event in Topanga, but access to the beach, hiking and Woodland Hills was great. Breakfast was always very good and it was nice talking to the other guests. "It’s a hidden gem! Very clean property with delightful staff. I loved the pool though it was impossible to order food from there which was unfortunate. I went to the bar on the property and ordered tacos to go and after waiting 20 minutes, the beef was charred, they forgot the beans and it was not appetizing. The complimentary breakfast was good enough to get you on the road early. The property is old but very well maintained. Parking was super easy and free. I wish the bathroom had a makeup mirror and the toilet seats weren’t so low. Other than that, I’d absolutely stay there again."

"Easy and clean property. All the basic needs and a few ‘ok’ amenities to make your stay more like home. Small, but clean pool. Tiny gym with exactly enough to get a good cardio session in and one weights machine. Large clean rooms and plenty of TV (if you watch). Good WiFi. ***No included breakfast and only in-room coffee (So if you need a good cup every morning before 7am - Plan to drive 5 minutes to Starbucks or Randy’s). Great and attentive staff. Lots of self (and safe) parking onsite."

"It's a good place to stay but parking was expensive the point of staying at Hilton it's the walkable distance and no having to pay parking at Universal Studios. I was charged $144 for parking for 2 nights. There are good hotels or even better ones near wich dont charge for parking or not that amount."

"It's hard to express how much we love this hotel. Even apart from it's fantastic location and proximity to Universal Studios and City Walk, this place is a whole VIBE. It's somehow chic, hip, and incredibly family-friendly. It's a full service hotel with modern amenities that manages to cultivate an almost communal, b&b-esque atmosphere. Quaint and nostalgic, but far from tacky. And the food and drink choices from the courtyard and poolside menu to the incomparable Front Yard restaurant are magnificent. But none of this would shine through to the extent it does without the thoughtful and attentive staff throughout. The Garland is our own little slice of SoCal heaven and we can't wait to come back!"
