The room was clean, carpet outdated and not my favorite in a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. They are able to hold your luggage upon check out, so you can continue to explore the city. Parking is located across the street near the police station, for a very reasonable fee. The area is quite and walkable, with Golden Gate Park across the street. On my next visit into the city I would definitely stay here rather than downtown.

This is a great hotel for the most part. The staff is awesome and the hotel itself is really cool. The rooms are very small! The elevator went down during our stay on night 1 so the entire stay we had to use the stairs- this was over a 3 day timeframe. Taking luggage down the historic staircase was pretty rough. Also, if you aren't familiar with the area just know that its high crime. My Uber driver couldn't believe myself and a kid were staying here. A lot of homeless and it gets scary to walk around. If you stay here take an Uber to and from. Otherwise a fun hotel but I wouldn't stay here again.

Location was close enough to different piers and driver access was easy. Breakfast was great with many options and fresh. Room carpet was not comfy on bare feet and mattress was hard and not comfortable. No air conditioning but opening the window was enough. Accessible room had plenty of space and bars in bathroom and tub were good.

It would’ve been good if we had towels. There were four of us in the room and for much of the trip, we only had two towels between us. When we did get the extra towels, housekeeping took away our extra towels and didn’t replace them.
