Pencaitland Parish Church. View of the south side of Pencaitland Parish Church. Parts of the church date from the late 12th and 13th centuries. The tower was built later, in 1631 and is sited at the west end of the church and is used as a belfry and dovecot. The bell is dated 1656 and there is a cockerel weathervane on the roof.

"Check in was exceptional - we didn’t take the breakfast option as we had an early flight to catch so opted to skip it. The room was lovely clean & spacious / we were celebrating our anniversary and had the surprise of a lovely Xmas duck to keep. It really was a lovely stay / we enjoyed the spa facility after a busy day exploring the Xmas markets and surrounding areas. I shall be returning in the new year - everyone was truly welcoming & helpful - top marks all round - thank you "
