"Convenient location for Auburn and Skaneateles touring. Quiet as a church mouse. Historic old inn, former boys school built in 1851. Breakfast is enough to get you by. Bar and restaurant are only open for special events but you are welcome to enjoy the dining room and porch with your morning coffee, pastry and yogurt. You will probably be joined by the owner and others. Good place to chat about the area and local history. Or they’ll leave you be if you want your privacy. ."

"Absolutely — this already has the feeling of a **genuinely enthusiastic, personal review**, which is much more compelling than something that sounds overly polished or generic. I’d keep your voice but smooth out the wording and make the praise feel a little more natural: Our family travels a lot, and I have never posted a review before, but I felt entirely compelled to do so for this resort. There is simply no other way to say it: this resort is a traveller’s dream. Everything was absolute perfection. First, the resort itself is simply beautiful, set in a gorgeous location. The restaurant was delicious, both for dinner and breakfast, and the staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. Our room was absolutely gorgeous. From the very generous size to the beautifully thought-out décor, every detail was so well done. It was truly dreamy. The property itself is fantastic. The pool, multiple hot tubs, fire pits, and even the little golf course make it the kind of place where you never want to leave. Every part of the resort felt special. We absolutely loved our stay and cannot wait to return!"

"Air-conditioning worked well. Microwave didn't, needed to do reset numerous times. Thought staff was going to replace it but they didn't. Pool was nice to use."

"I really liked staying here! Even when full, it was peaceful and quiet. I had to arrive very late and the owners made sure I could easily get to the room, even at midnight for check in. I recommend it! There is a carport by each room and a garden seating area outdoors for each. I think it is an old vintage 1950’s motel. My room was on the end and so trees were singing on two sides. It felt quiet, peaceful and is a beautiful setting. I very much enjoyed sitting in the garden area to relax and read and just listen to the trees. If you are fond of vintage motels that have been well cared for, you will like this one. The bath was very clean and had beautiful pale yellow dal tile. It has been well maintained, including vintage fixtures, and is much nicer than many modern bathroom designs. The tub enclosure had been redone. Some of the room furnishings also look vintage. There were cool features like a wooden desk surface you could pull out from the main table, to write on. The pole supporting one carport corner needed repainting. Maintenance and a bit of refurbishing may be ongoing. The down side - in the country the occasional bug might sneak into the room. The first night a spider was hanging out. It disappeared without causing any harm. 1950’s era buildings were not hermetically sealed. The unit was also designed with operable windows, which I hope get restored. In my unit most of the windows did not open."
