"Overall good hotel to stay near pigeon forge island drive"

"We stayed in a 3 bed room. It was actually nice. Internet worked fine. Hotel was close to downtown Pigeon Forge. It's before you get to the big King Kong statue that's on the side of that Hollywood building. Flapjacks restaurant was next door. Beds were okay. We had a back balcony which was good. Had everything we needed for the room. Hair dryer, body wash pump, shampoo and conditioner pump on the wall. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. It was clean and didn't smell. The air worked good. We had 3 tvs in each of the three rooms. One didn't have channels but that was fine. Seasonal outdoor pool. Check in was easy and fast. Front desk worker was really nice. Probably one of the better hotels we've stayed at in Tennessee. Nightly price was good. We will definitely book here again!! "

"The rooms were clean however on check in there were numerous issues with our room unable to use a broken shower and phone. A request was made to just switch rooms but the refused bc they said their policy was to see if they could fix it first. It caused a delay for us in being able to get ready for reservations we had previously made and a simple room switch would have rectified the issue. Breakfast was bland and the same both days we stayed with no healthy options except plain oatmeal. Odd smell on first floor that smelled like an overflowed toilet when you entered the pool area. They have yellow light in the jacuzzi which makes it look like urine. "

"Lobby,dining,outdoor areas are beautiful, pool & hot tub are great! Includes a small, shallow pool on upper level, separate from the large pool for the little ones. Pool area smelled very strongly of chemicals so were unable to spend too much time enjoying the hot tub after our long travels because our eyes were burning too badly. Maybe if one of the exterior doors was propped to vent the area it would have been tolerable. The hotel is currently going through a complete remodel, however our room was not one that had been done yet. It sounded like they were working in either the unit above or next to ours, but construction ended plenty early and didn’t start until late enough in the morning to allow everyone time to sleep. From the items being discarded and piled in the lot out back, the units will receive all new furnishings, including mattresses, tile flooring, heat-A/C units, the works! The new beds are needed…I’ve slept on worse, but the mattresses were hard, lumpy and the springs were loud every time one of us moved. Hopefully the new beds correct that. The “connected” room next to ours had a group of really loud girls, sounded like a dance party going on next door until after 11pm, making it difficult for my family to fall asleep, but after a long day of driving we were too tired to ask to move rooms. Breakfast included biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, toast, bagels, instant oatmeal & selection of mix-in’s, cold cereal, yogurt, bananas, juice, coffee, tea"
