"Nice older property spread out on a large tract of land. Good customer service, large TV & good AC . Location was not walkable unfortunately. We requested a room with a patio based upon the pictures of this room & patio on Expedia. Our patio unfortunately overlooked a parking lot and a busy freeway instead of a green belt. Disappointing. I recommend a room/patio overlooking a green belt instead of a parking lot."

"Excellent property, well maintained and professional staff. Room was amazing, very clean and current with top shelf amenities. Parking can be a bit dicey due to the proximity to the beach and the property is in a residential area. Resort does their best, but it caused it to wonder if we wanted to head into town with our rental and loose our spot. The property offers a shuttle via a very nice VW van which we opted to use, problem solved. Greatly enjoyed our stay!"

"Quiet and peaceful. Lots of nice flowers, plants, trees and birds! Pool was lovely. Easy access to all areas around Carmel. Almond croissant and Carmel coffee were delicious - breakfast trailer made it easy for quick bite! Highly recommend the Carmel River Inn."

"The lobby area is very welcoming, natural looking with lots of wood, windows, lots of outdoor sunlight. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to the Old Fisherman’s Warf. Check-in was a little difficult as they couldn’t find the 4 rooms I reserved under my name until it was mentioned that it was booked through Expedia. Also, one of the rooms was not ready until 8 pm even though Expedia said that check in is at 4 pm. The rep mistakenly said that check-in period is from 4 pm - 6 pm. How can it be so late? My daughter and her husband had to get ready to attend a wedding and fortunately, we had another room available for them to use. The hotel graciously comped us for the parking. Other than that, the hotel was excellent and would stay there again."

"The Inn is one of our favorite places in Carmel. Usually we have one of the better rooms but they were gone this time. The basic king bed room was small and the bathroom very small and poorly conceived with few surfaces on which to place things. A better room is a must for next time. Breakfast great and included. Parking very limited and must be reserved morning at 8 am day of arrival. $40!!"
