"Comfortable stay in a great location in Carmel. The place could use a bit of refreshing, and its missing some amenities like a gym or ice machines. TV is very small. Tub/shower water pressure is weak. The lounge is beautiful, but you can't have a snack or a drink there - seems like a lost opportunity. No elevators and narrow stairs makes dragging your luggage up the stairs a chore. Ask for help for sure if you are on the third floor and you've been traveling a long time to get there. The third floor is slanted, and the sign that basically says the hotel won't stand up to a earthquake says it all. The best days to stay in this hotel are behind us. Still and all, it seems like most of the places downtown would probably fall into this category, so maybe it comes with the territory."

"We’ve been coming here for years and will keep coming back. The hotel is in a beautiful setting with has such a warm and welcome feel. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, the staff couldn’t be friendlier or more helpful and the food in the restaurant is delicious. Highly, highly recommend."
