The LOVE Boat !

A desirable water retreat awaits you and your loved one on the water, 35ft long x 10x wide Catamaran Cruiser!! All the comforts of home in this 20 ft cabin while floating in a cozy quiet marina in the OBX! Two Kayaks and gift certificate to local Kill Devil Hills restaurant included! An on-site restaurant, Salt & Cypress, offers great food that tastes even better when paired with a great view. Float with us while remaining plugged into your own personal WiFi!

The space

This space adopted a Whale Shark - Travel with Purpose when you stay with us and assist in global efforts to help save this beautiful endangered species!

Please Note: Pool and Clubhouse (with pool table and gym) have recently reopened however the Association has the right to close these amenities at anytime. While this is a bonus to be used during your stay, please do not allow this to bear any weight on your experience with the space you are renting!

Shallowbag Bay Marina is a 75-slip marina located just off the intercoastal waterway in North Carolina's wonderful Outer Banks. The Outer Banks recreational area is one of the fastest growing coastal areas in the United States. The Outer Banks is characterized by barrier islands, natural beaches, sand dunes and beautiful marsh land areas.

The Catamaran Cruiser includes all of the bare necessities one needs and all the comforts to give you that home away from home feeling...including an outdoor charcoal grill within the community!!

Water Condo", "Floating Cottage", "Cabin on the Water" are typical descriptions of Catamaran Cruisers' newest houseboat concept has arrived in MANTEO, NC! Thoughtful custom design and beautifully finished inside and out, the Catamaran Cruiser features an open and bright main salon, while the master stateroom features a panoramic water view and a private deck. 2020 Smart TV in living room! 170 sq feet of outdoor decking!

The shower on-board is there for your convenience, just be mindful of your use when you are able!
Hot water tank is 12 gallons and takes about 25 minutes to refill and therefore you may enjoy the amenities of in-ground plumbing at the easy to access just a few steps away clubhouse or ship store (total of 4 showers) if you enjoy longer showers and would rather all parties shower at the same time to expedite the getting ready process.

Guest access
Full access of the boat and all its amenities with the exception of the ability to drive boat! Able to park car for free in Marina parking lot...just steps away from boat! Marina amenities include full separate men's and women's bathrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and on-site waterfront restaurant!

Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights, lock the doors, and return the keys
Leave in a pile in hamper or bathroom. Leave bed alone - do not strip!
Remove all trash from house (kitchen, bathroom, etc) place in dumpster outside of house. Make sure all dishes are clean, dry and put away. 
Turn all lights off. Set AC to 74 in summer and Heat to 68 in the winter at departure. Lock all doors & windows at your departure. If a key was used please put it back in lockbox.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Perfect Get away!

We enjoyed staying on the Loveboat. It was cozy, clean and comfortable. We were looking for a quiet little refuge and this was perfect. Even though the weather was rainy, the Loveboat was warm and inviting. The small winds rocked the boat just enough to lull you to sleep. We hope to come back sometime.Stacey and John

Love Boat Fits

This was our first experience staying ON the water. Everything was perfect, except we couldn't use the toilet... This was obviously beyond the owner's control and there was facilities right next door in the clubhouse/pool area that we had access too. Definitely would stay again!!!

Father's Day Get Away

My husband and I spent a spontaneous night away for Father's Day on the Love Boat and it was perfect. Manteo is such a cute little town with great shops, the aquarium, and a super cool English pub/brewery, The Lost Colony Tavern. Gia was an excellent host with amazing communication for our short notice trip. The boat was perfectly clean, the kayaks were easy to access and use, and we slept so well thanks to the gentle waves rocking the boat. 10/10 would recommend!

Stay on the Love Boat

We loved,loved, loved the Love Boat on the Shallowbag Bay. It was so relaxing and enjoyed our time there. The Bay was so nice. We loved watching the boats come in and out. The pool was awesome and we met some really nice folks there and the food at Stripers was delicious. This is the place you should come and relax and just do nothing. Although we did not meet our host, the communication was very good and we knew if we needed anything or had an issue she would have taken care of it. I would 100% recommend staying on the Love Boat. We had the best time.

Fantastic experience

I wish I could have stayed longer! Really enjoyed sleeping on the boat and reading on the deck. It was quiet and very peaceful, which is exactly what I was looking for. The location is perfect for exploring the island. Very kind and responsive host.

Long Weekend Away

We had the best time staying on the Love Boat! Such a relaxing weekend. The weather was perfect! I read that the boat would lull you to sleep - it sure did! Best sleep in a long time! We ate at Stripers at the marina. Beautiful view and wonderful food. Make sure you visit Pirates Cove to see the fisherman bring in the Yellow-Fin Tuna.

On the Boat

It was our first time staying on a boat. It was a good experience. The gentle movement on the water was very relaxing at night. Our plans focused mainly sightseeing on the island. The boat was a good home base and was central to good places to eat. We loved it.

A great place in a quiet marina

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The boat is located in a smaller and quiet marina with all the amenities. Convenient location to shops and attractions. The boat was steps away from the clubhouse which offered great showers and a fitness room. The boat was very clean and as advertised. Communication with the host was top notch. We visited the Elizabethan gardens nearby and highly recommend that as well. Thank you for a great experience

Peaceful beautiful waterview

I loved how Gia the property owner was awesome she was so helpful and answered all my questions and gave lots of recommendations for my time here...the spot is perfect" I loved the sway of the boat but if your given to being seasick you may want to bring some Dramamine which will help with any motion sickness" we had a little wind but I personally liked the gentle sway..it put me right to sleep each night..waking up to step out with a cup of coffee and the sound of birds was awesome..the size is perfect for 2" the bed was comfy" and we loved sitting outside and chatting in the serene surroundings.. a nice perk was the use of the pool table in the clubhouse...I would highly recommend staying here, The owner Gia is a very hands -on owner and the price for this time of year was worth it for the view and location..I hope to return again sometime..thank you Gia fir sharing your piece of heaven with us!

Should've kept an eye on the weather

When I checked in, the houseboat was gently swaying which was fine, but today was a different story. A rapidly approaching storm front caused the the houseboat to pitch, twist, and turn. Needless to say I felt very nauseated and had to end my trip earlier than expected. If you are okay with being on the water, this place is for you but the Love Boat is on the smaller size and is easily influenced by the wind and tide.
