Lihue-Koloa Forest Reserve Vacations from ￥182,520

Location good. Quiet area. Restaurants and food store nearby. Hotel clean and in good condition. There is an ocean view, however, from a distance. Communication for check-in and office is good. There is no housekeeping but you can get clean towels. Really enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to ocean waves, watching sunsets, and various birds and chickens in area.

Definitely will be staying here again when I come back to visit ! Wonderful staff and a very laid back feeling perfect for solo travelers !

Our room was clean and comfortable, but bathroom fixtures have not been kept up. I just expected more for what we paid. A similar location and sized room on Maui was much nicer than this one was for similar money. Our room was ocean front, which was nice, but the beach was not really useable and there are homeless people living along the property who even lit fires. They were never a problem, just not expected for what we paid. The fire alarm went off at 4am, supposedly set off by the broken elevator. For a long time, the alarm was still flashing, only the sound was off. Made us wonder how an actual fire would set it off. I was not miserable by any means, but for $250 a night, I expected more. I would return, but only if the price was reduced.
