「Nice stay accommodating staff great views」

「Although I’d love to give this hotel 5 stars due to the price I paid per night, I cannot. One, the property needs better maintenance, the common areas need to be cleaned more often, there was tons of iguana poop by the pool, it was nasty; the bathrooms by the beach and lobby we’re disgusting; the first room we were given looked like a room at a motel - very outdated, dark & ugly. 「We loved our stay! The hotel was in excellent condition and exceptionally clean. The restaurants were beautiful, well-maintained, and offered delicious food. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at La Marea Restaurant, and everything was absolutely delicious. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. 「Everything was absolutely perfect! We went for a bachelorette party and didn’t have to call a single uber because the property has a shuttle for anywhere you might want to go. The staff was super helpful and gave us the best recommendations of where to go to eat. 10/10!」

「Overall our stay was nice. We loved the shores pool, and paid extra for ocean view and balcony, which was ruined by the sargassum(out of resorts control of course). Also the balcony was not a private balcony attached to our room, it was just an extension off the walk way open to anyone really, so that part is kind of deceiving. Also, not like a huge deal, but we are huge sports fans and we were trying to watch the FiFa and basketball championships game, and there was no cable. Called to try...

「The villas were not as described in Expedia. No blackout shades. Don’t plan on sleeping late. Window treatments broken and a lot of light comes through. The golf cart pickup is spotty at best and the villas are a long hot walk from main resort attractions. There was a family of 40 having a photo shoot behind my villa and set up camp there for 4 hours. Sitting on our porch steps as well. Called to complain and security never came. There was poop in the lagoon….i think it came out of babies...
