「Clean and well-supplied unit, but owner is very hard to get hold of. Door and gate codes changed, got locked out of room early on checkout, and when notified of water shutoff on short notice owner went dark. so make sure you have the codes early! otherwise a nicely located well-maintained unit.」

「We enjoyed our stay at Casa de Emdeko. The saltwater pool and outdoor spaces were spectacular. Good views of the ocean and sunset, including bowing the pū (Hawaiian conch shell) at sunset. The unit provided a great home base to explore Kona and the island. There were some areas of the unit that needed repair/maintenance, but they didn't severely impact our trip. The host was highly responsive and helpful 」

「This property was wonderful. We have stayed at Kona Plaza before and love the location. It is also surprisingly quiet for being right in town. The lanai is wonderful and so relaxing. It exceeded our expectations regarding supplies - all the condiments we needed and never had to purchase more paper towels or toilet paper. 「Our entire stay was made better by our place at the Kona Mansions. It is a beautiful property and all the best has gone into making the accommodations superb!! It was a great location as well, central to everything and quiet with lush and beautiful landscape. We loved the pool, very nice common area for BBQ and patio dining. Because of my husband’s arthritis those 3 flights of stairs were definitely a lot for him. An elevator would have been helpful.」

「On July 21 we arrived the Kailua-Kona just after 4 PM and discovered we had the dates wrong when we opened the door and it was not clean. We immediately closed the door and we then contacted the owner to see if it was possible to get it cleaned and pay for that night.
