"The hotel is deceptively larger than expected when you look at it from outside. Once you are inside it opens up and they have their own bakery; which was great for quick breakfast, midday or afternoon snacks and for grabbing fresh coffee, hot or cold. The staff were very friendly and spoke reasonable English, certainly proficient enough to deal with most questions which was very helpful. The hotel was very clean and modern looking inside and the room layout was good. It’s close to a busy road, but very quiet inside. Personally I wish I had booked a larger 2bed room as it felt small to me once we unloaded our bags, however, the room had good facilities and felt new. The hotel is near a bus route so you can get from Kyoto train station or into other parts using buses, however, if the place is within 20mins walk, then walk it as will be easier. We used taxis more than expected but was easy to get to other parts of the city from the hotel given its location. I would recommend the hotel for couples or families and would happily rebook there upon another trip to Kyoto"

"The hotel is within a 5 minute walk of Kyoto Station. The building is well maintained, the staff was very helpful and welcoming, the room was extremely clean and well kept."

"Everything was fantastic a out this hotel, we would highly recommend. We stayed as a family of 5 - 2 adults, 1 elementary aged child and 2 under five years old. The hotel is literal steps away from the Metro and JR station, convince stores all around and a lots of food and shopping options around the hotel too! Check in was a breeze, staff were very helpful. Rooms were very clean. The public bath was great and really added to an extra special experience at the hotel. The hotel is registered in Yamato luggage forwarding services. There was coin operated laundry machines on site but was often being used. The laundry machines in Japan don't typically dry heavier fabric clothes, so it might take 2-3 dry cycles to finish a load. There are laundromats close by that have bigger capacity if you are in a real pinch. There is also a guest lounge with free coffee and teas. There is also an on site resteraunt that we never ended eating at."

"Excellent hotel and great customer service. The hotel is in a prime location: close to the metro, restaurants and shopping. Lots of key sightseeing spots within walking distance or a short metro ride away. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of items. The onsite onsen and guest lounge (free snacks and drinks at certain times of the day) were a welcome treat after a day of sightseeing. They also have onsite coin laundry which is very handy. Be sure to book the multi-course chef’s menu in their restaurant for one of your evening dinners. It was well-plated, beautifully presented and so delicious. The chef clearly takes pride in his cuisine. A truly wonderful hotel with great staff. I would definitely book here again."
