The people that care for you here are so lovely and warm that they feel more like family. You really look forward to seeing them every day and engaging them on the traditions and culture of Japan. "

"The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The TV is equipped with Netflix and other streaming services and easy to use. The location is superb for exploring Gion and Higashiyama, and not far from a metro station to get to the rest of town. The free shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station is a nice bonus. The one negative is that the gym is quite small, with only a few free weights and a treadmill. If that matters to you, consider a guest membership at a nearby local gym or a different hotel. "

"Clean hotel with helpful staff. Easy to book and staff worked well with someone with minimal Japanese language knowledge. Area is perfect, with a 10 minute walk to metro lines and in the heart of Gion. Would stay again!"

"The private spa was nice for our family of 4. Front staff who checked us in was pleasant and helped book our spa. The hotel is in a convenient location. Room was so clean and decor was pretty! Loved that there was a washer/dryer in our suite, but we had some issues understanding how to use it since it was in Japanese. Other than that, our stay was quite lovely!"
