"Beautiful historic hotel with very friendly staff. Not cookie cutter like so many big chains. Park with beautiful gardens right across the street and the Citadel a very short walk. 20 minute walk to great waterfront restaurants and close to University and old historic churches and buildings to look at on the way to the waterfront. Highly recommend!"

"We only stay one night but the hotel was very clean and the room smelt great when we walked in. Very clean and the staff were great. Kaitlyn at the Bar One was a fantastic server and all the staff at Denny’s were super attentive. A very nice overall experience. Would highly recommend."

"Enjoyed 4 nights here in a standard 2 queen bed. Refreshing room daily not required. Housekeeping staff very accommodating even called and left voice mail ensuring we had what we needed as a result. Our room was in 3rd floor facing street. Windows open. Not noisy whatsoever. Lobby always clean, front desk staff always friendly. Coffee/tea available complimentary by front counter. Price decent. No concerns for safety of any kind - service at the Grill Restaurant wasn’t the best on Friday around 5 pm, food adequate, prices reasonable. Overall would recommend this hotel as it is a 20 min drive via highway to airport. Also Bedford was not far away. Easy access to downtown Halifax."

"Great parking. Great location, right next to the highway that gets you downtown and out of the city. If you like Tim Horton's it's right next door but you won't need it because the breakfast is wonderful! Nepresso coffee including lattes, iced macchiattos as well as expressos on demand. The staff member serving the breakfast was amazing. She is so efficient and friendly too! Would recommend this property. Great value."
