「Stayed two nights. Lovely hosts. The only point of improvement we had was that tap water was not drinkable, so there was a large bottle on the counter instead. Understood that the area is in a deep drought in fall 2025. Outdoor shower was a treat. Property very interesting if you are a horticulture buff, quite the history on this site!」

「We had a wonderful time at Maggie's Place!!! Fantastic location and the old house has such charm and beautiful surroundings! Uli and Cathy are wonderful people and so interesting and accommodating!! Loki, there guest greeting dog, is also a joy! Highly recommend if visiting Cape Breton!! Will try and be back for sure!」

"Loved this hotel! Great location, friendly staff, and overall a really satisfying experience. I had a relaxing stay. The room was spacious. I used the sofa bed, but since it was placed near the air conditioner’s vent, it was a bit chilly. However, I asked the hotel staff for a blanket, and they kindly provided one, so it was fine. The view from the window faced the building across the street, but if you looked at an angle, you could catch a glimpse of the ocean. Overall, the room was clean, the hotel staff were friendly, and I had a very pleasant experience. I’d love to stay here again. Next time, I’d like to book a room with an ocean view."
