「Rooms have been renovated and were pretty nice. Our room had a kitchenette and it only had a small frying pan and small pot nothing big enough for two people barely even big enough for one but other then that everything was good. Owner was super friendly and made sure we had one of the better rooms which was nice, I asked for a room on the bottom and some cuterly and he was able to provide that for us so they are accommodating. 「A little gem. Comfortable bed, cute furnishings, fridge, microwave and seating area. Newly renovated. No dressers or closets as motels are usually a one night stop. Quiet and secure area. Will be a return visitor. 」

「A lot of homeless people around. Their staff left at 10 pm, and a homeless person was shouting and caused an issue, so we called the police. Very poor condition, and not clean. The worst stay we have had. Do not stay at Duncan and this motel. 」

「Large, comfortable room. No sponge to do the dishes, but plenty of good towels. The family who runs it are low key and seem to like a homey atmosphere. Walking distance to downtown. 」

「I couldn’t recommend this B&B enough if you want a peaceful, very comfortable accommodation. The B&B was gorgeous, the bedroom & en-suite were wonderful and the hand made breakfast made by the host Juliette was so delicious. The location is such that you need a car but I think if you are travelling around the beautiful island of Vancouver you would have one anyway.」

I was not asking for a refund — only minimal flexibility. Instead, they hid behind policy and demanded consent letters, credit card ID, and even a doctor's note while I was sitting in a hospital dealing with an emergency. I am not interrupting doctors and nurses to justify a hotel stay. I could not access...
