Basecamp South Lake Tahoe

"Location is great. Room worked for our needs and included 2 queen beds with twin bunk beds over the top of the queens. Our room had a private balcony with scattered views of Heavenly. Small fridge and microwave in room but you can only plug one in at a time due to limited outlets and 3 prong plugs. The only real negative was the parking. My estimate is that the parking spots to hotel room ratio was 1 to 4 meaning there are no where near enough spots to accommodate the rooms. Get there early and don't move your car until checkout."

"This is a basic property with minimal amenities and small rooms. Although they have some to borrow, if needed daily, bring your own hairdryer. Our room didn’t have a coffee maker but they did offer it in the lobby. And although we stayed for convenience and knew it would be busy due to Oktoberfest, they didn’t secure parking for hotel guests. They said they have parking behind the ice cream shop and gave us a parking pass but they didn’t monitor the lot so no guaranteed parking. We’ll stay down the road and ride in next time. Bring ear plugs to sleep through the road noise."
