"Excellent hotel. Very good location directly outside Gloucester Road tube station and within walking distance of major museums. Cycle hire station also directly outside. Large room and bathroom, good room amenities, only thing I would appreciate would be an actual mini refrigerator instead of a wine cooler that is too warm to store perishables. Despite location close to station, room was very quiet."

"The Good: nice towels, clean, nice breakfast with many choices, very courteous porters; good location near Victoria Station The Bad: a lobby overrun with guests awaiting to check in at 3pm, just awful; 2 petulant check-in clerks; a single occupancy room so small that the chair could not be pulled from the desk because of the proximiry to the bed, the small refrigerator door could only be opened half way; absolutely no space to open suitcase except in the hallway in front of the bathroom and room doors; the single rooms are isolated from the rest of the rooms and at the end of the hallway (think past 18 rooms, outside the hallway and next to a secondary elevator); banging on the ceiling and windows for several hours every night. Spoke to the manager, he was dismissive and offered an upgrade for an additional £60. It’s not about the upgrade, it’s about providing the BASIC amount of space - enough room to be able to open luggage, even the luggage rack could not be opened without restricting the ability to move in the room. I asked the manager to come to the room and see for himself and his response is that he “knew” the room. Obviously he has never stayed overnight in the room and said he was “very busy”. I checked out a day early after having prepaid my stay; the night manager offered a better room but frankly I was done with this hotel. Never again with a RIU hotel. "

"The room itself is fine, but there's 2 extremely loud extractor fans that don't turn off so its nearly impossible to actually sleep. There's also only a coffee pod machine in the room, tea is only availabile in the refreshments room for £2.90. They don't have keycards, only provide links to to your phone to unlock doors, which is fine but you can't actually get through the main door without one, so if you haven't set it up before arrival you need to press the call button (which noone seems to answer) so you get stuck outside. Staff are friendly once you actually find them. It's such a shame, beacuse it could of been a lovely stay if you can actually sleep."

"The staff were really nice, the room itself was very spacious and nice. however, the shower in our room leaked and soaked the bathroom floor. The breakfast had run out of a lot of things he such as granola, yoghurt and the hot food was just slightly warm. The location was good and very quiet. "

"Lovely spacious, clean room. Good level of soundproofing, no noise from surrounding rooms. Excellent location 6mins walk from Covent Garden Tube Station & 5 mins from the Adelphi Theatre. Breakfast was good, attentive staff and the usual cooked and continental options"
