"This unit was exactly as described. We actually met the owner because she was in town. She's wonderful. We enjoyed the pool and beach, they were so close to the unit. There were so many extras in the kitchen. Everything we could possibly need and then some. It was nice having shops right outside the gate when we were tired from the water. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place to get away."

"The resort itself is beautiful, well maintained, and has a lot to offer, so overall we enjoyed our stay. That said, if you’re staying in the Ocean Tower, be prepared for a lot of walking. The tram service was very slow, and parking was not only far away but also $48 per day, which felt excessive. Our room was decent, but we did notice ants near the bathroom and bed area, which was disappointing. Overall, a nice resort, but there were definitely some inconveniences that took away from the experience."

"The hotel is doing everything to turn guest away. The price includes just the room. No water in the room, no breakfast is included. Everything is extra and super inflated prices. Very unwelcoming. It is a trap. As a greeting I heard “we have you for 9 days “, and they did. For the last time. I don’t mind spending a lot of money but I would like to be treated like a guest, and not trapped. "

"Traveled with our little family. Overall very satisfied with our stay. The check in process, the property, the communication and check out was all a breeze. The unit was great, clean and spacious. Only saw one cockroach on the last day outside near our door. Which I’m guessing is not a big deal for Hawaii. The only thing I would wish for is having the most basics in the kitchen, like salt, pepper and cooking oil. Also, having more laundry detergent available would be ideal. I ended up going to the office, which is not on site, to ask for extra and they gave me some extra no problem. "

"Another wonderful stay at Hale Mermaid in Kolea in the Waikoloa Resort. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this condo. One of our favorites in Waikoloa and so far our favorite complex we've stayed at in Waikoloa. It has easy access to the beach and you can walk to dinner at many local restaurants. We also love Waikoloa because it is easy to go out your door and go for a walk with all the sidewalks, and its close to shopping and groceries. The condo itself was immaculate and has all the amenities we needed, and you could cook a feast at this condo and enjoy it on the lanai. The pool area is quite nice and you are provided with a towel while there. Our hosts were great with communicating with us and we did not have any problems. We would definitely stay again!"
