"Property itself has has an amazing garden with access to river and some great mossed areas. Also situated on the gateway to the heritage areas. Huge room with intriguing heating, steam-punk stuff. Views from room of mountain ranges absolutely intriguing. Furniture bit worn but otherwise clean. Hotel building fascinating to explore. Staff very helpful and courteous."

"The stay was great. Mae sure you get a really soft pillow because there was a long hard pillow in the bed. You were allowed to get another pillow. I recommend it. Otherwise this was a great hotel and close to train"

"The room was magnificent! It was huge with great view of the mountains! Heater worked wonderful! It was freezing outside so a good heater was super good for the night! It was a Japanese style room, tatami floors and beds AND they had extra beds to make it more comfy! Would stay here again!!! "

"The staff is amazing and the rooms are lovely. Only issue is the that it is a bit of a distance from town but if you are ok with that this is the perfect option. "

"Room is nice and spacious, everywhere is clean, very comfortable Osen area is a bit small, peak hour maybe crowded. Buffet breakfast and dinner are delicious "

"Room was tatami, very traditional. My spouse loved sleeping on the tatami mats and she especially loved the yukkata and the onsen. The buffet dinner and breakfast were the best ever!"
