「Blue jay lodge is close to all of South Lake tahoes big areas, but still on a quiet strip. They do give you tickets for $5 off if you want to go to the private beach which is 3 min drive. We enjoyed our stay. There was a few cons: 1) there is no attendant there so everything is done online including room key and we kept getting messages (about 4-5) over our 1 night stay. 2) rooms walls are extremely thin. 「This property is screaming, “Please update me!”. 1960s stained, worn furniture, dirty, navy blue shag carpet, attempted cover up of mold in the shower with silicone, stained towels, and overall just not clean. Almost took my shoulder out of the socket trying to open and close most doors. The ONLY amenities are a small refrigerator and microwave. 「Beautiful room right on the river. Slept with the window open and enjoyed the sounds of the river. Basic room - Very clean, modern room. Will definitely return, especially in the winter when it snows. If you come in the summer, bring an inner tube to cruise down the lake. Highly recommend for a basic, inexpensive alternative to South Lake, which is only 30 min away.」

「I have stayed here before, the location is perfect, but this time everything was a mess. we got there July 3rd got into our room spent the day walking around. came back the place was overrun by underage teenagers. drinking yelling load music, they were on the 2nd floor, first incident was when they were knocking trash and speakers onto our car. calm conversation, thought everything was fine. we went out for the night came back to the room at midnight went to bed. AT 1:30 in the morning all hell...

「Where should I start, no parking for handicap except one spot on other side of parking lot. Which is not big enough. The room was not very clean and the sheet kept coming off the bed , the blanket wasn't that clean . No bars in bathroom at all, as the tub was very slippery, had to put towel down. I can't do steps and they knew that but had to get into room. Didn't get access code until I called them again for the third time. But code until 3:58. All the coffee condiments were in a plastic cup....
