Hilton Garden Inn NYC Financial Center/Manhattan Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"Good location in being close to two transit lines (1 and 4/5 lines) but at the same time away from the craziness of Midtown Manhattan. Good-sized room, larger than what you'd get for comparable price in Midtown."
"The FIDI definitely grew on us over the course of our five days we spent there in August. At first we were a little surprised with the overall size of the room (small), but it was sufficient for our needs and the other amenities and location easily made up for it. Couple things to note...there is no large bathroom counter or vanity if you need somewhere to place things while getting ready, and there is no convenient mirror outside the bathroom. There is also no in room fridge, but the staff was exceptional and provided us with a fresh bag of ice every day to help keep medications cold.
You can't beat the location of this hotel. It's literally a five minute walk to Wall Street and Battery Park, ten minutes from World Trade Center on one side and Seaport on the other. You can get anywhere you need to go at one of the subway stations that are within five minutes, and the surrounding area is super clean and there are a number of great little places to eat.
The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, but there is a great bagel place just down the street we went to every morning. We didn't manage to make the afternoon happy hour because we were too busy.
The staff was amazing. People were all very friendly and eager to help with whatever we asked.
We will definitely stay here again."
