"The room where i stayed was outdated and very small however my cousin’s room are renovated and bigger. Booked with breakfast but not worth it since it only give you option of bagel or toast. Location is good. I’m being generous in giving them a rate of 3/5."

"Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet any of my expectations. I paid $989 for 3 nights. Other than the convenience of everything being close, such as the subway, Times Square, Broadway Theater, Central Park, etc. I experienced harassment by a guy who just walked into the lobby and begged for money again and again. Unfortunately, another one of the problems with this location is that there are no parking lots associated with the hotel so the nearest parking lot is down the block ($67 a night, not to mention) but the biggest problem is that you can’t turn left, which is where the hotel is at, so my boyfriend went to go get the car while I waited in the lobby with all of our suitcases. What is about a three minute walk turned into a 20 minute drive for him. During that time, the guy was constantly insisting I give him money and asking how long until my boyfriend got back. He sat by me and interrogated me. Sadly it took about 15 minutes before a worker/guard came and told him to leave. The hotel had a D rating, no trash bag inside the bathroom or room, the doors to our rooms were covered in grime/unknown white stains, bad smell down the hall, dirty floors. We were on the 8th floor and couldn’t sleep all night due to the loud noise outside and construction in the morning. Tiny room with no space for our suitcases. Not at all like the photos on their website. Maybe it once used to be all that. Only stayed 2 nights, couldn’t do it another night. Waste of money!"

"One thing that would have been extremely helpful before the trip is there is a parking garage right around the corner and if you go there the hotel will stamp your ticket so you get money off. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were friendly. "

"I have stayed at the Arlo Midtown several times and it never disappoints. Located just a few blocks from Penn Station makes this the perfect home base for a few days in NYC. The breakfast in the restaurant was a nice add from my last stay here. My only complaint would be the slamming room doors, otherwise a perfect stay!"

"one of the women at your front desk needs an attitude adjustment, she was rude to me and my team. When their ac wouldn't shut off she gave them a time limit on them moving rooms? she wouldn't move them if they took over ten minutes... i think she's in the wrong business because she surely is not hospitable. none of our tvs worked in any of our 3 rooms! "AWFUL experience overall. We arrived for check-in at midnight and the reception staff was extremely hostile. Any basic information had to be dragged out through questions, and the overall attitude felt very unwelcoming. One very important detail: the hotel charges $8 for every Amazon package received, which is NOT mentioned anywhere in their description. On top of that, the package pickup process is TERRIBLE — you have to wait in the same huge check-in line just to collect packages you already paid for at "available hours". We had 24 packages and ended up paying an ABSURD amount. It honestly felt exploitative and wasted hours of our trip, adding the stress on our moods. Some packages were marked as received but were lost somewhere in the hotel, so more waiting time and stress. What made this EVEN WORSE was how outdated and manual their processes were — staff were literally handling package tracking with paper and pencil by hand, which explains the disorganization. The bathroom had no ventilation/extractor fan, the room was cold, and there was no heating available. So discusting. I’ve traveled to NYC 4 times before and stayed in other hotels that were better, more professional and better priced. This hotel seemed to charge extra for absolutely everything while offering a much worse experience overall. Shoutout to the only truly helpful person we encountered there: Pablo from engineering, who kindly provided us with a portable heater. You suck, as a team and as a hotel."
