"We have been to the island six times prior and stayed at resorts and boutique hotels but this time we took our adult children with us and needed a bigger place that was still close to playa Norte. I found this listing on Vrbo and it was perfect with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It far exceeded our expectations when we arrived. We had absolutely everything we needed and more for a beach day, to cook a meal, and to enjoy our vacation. The amenities offered are even more than what is listed which was very appreciated.Any questions we had, we would reach out to the host, and get almost an immediate reply, this host was extraordinary with communication and being helpful. On our last day, our flight was delayed and I reached out to the host to see if we could extend our stay by a couple hours, and he was able to accommodate that as well. This is a clean, modern property with a nice pool and I would highly recommend it. We did rent a golf cart for two days just to visit the other side of the island, but if we were just staying on that side, it was completely unnecessary as everything was very walkable for dinner and beach club access.My favorite daily activity was making coffee and sitting out on the balcony while watching and listening to the waves. This rental offered the tranquility and peace of vacation while still having close access to all the activities available.I would say that our seventh visit to the island was a complete and wonderful success!"

"Our stay was great specially because we were traveling with my whole family ages from 2 yrs old 4 yrs old 13 yrs old 17 yrs old and my husband and my kids loved it, my husband and I usually stay at Mia reef but it was so hard for them to get them to accommodate our family of 6 and plus it was way more pricey then ixchel all though they are not all inclusive with food it was ok for us because we liked going out and eating around the town. The place is really nice staff always greeted us, the beach area was clean and they always made sure that if no one was using chairs that they were cleaning up towels so others could have a chair. Thy had floats for adults and kids and sand toys that kids could use. First come first serve. The the restaurant in the hotel was delicious food was amazing. I would definitely go back. Needless to say I will not be going back to Mia reef there you pay for the beach the hotel is outdated and the food is the same every single day the Buffett same thing every single day it gets old after the 2nd day and that is also why we made the decision to not stay there and we are so happy we made the decision with ixchel. Beds are super soft. Also the restaurant on we stayed had a stove fully stocked microwave everything we needed. 2 rooms and they also brought us a crib for my 2 yr old so it was a great stay."

"La estancia fue muy placentera y sobre todo el personal siempre fue muy amable. Es la segunda vez que nos hospedamos y sigue siendo nuestro hotel preferido 😊 Lo único que no se nos comentó fue que los camastros pasando la alberca eran parte del restaurante y este es independiente del hotel. Así que no puedes consumir bebidas de otros negocios como de la cafetería del hotel en los camastros. O al menos eso nos comentaron los empleados del restaurante."
