"What a wonderful place! Great communication with the friendly host, Darin. The grounds are spectacular, with tropical plants and a beautiful waterfall. Very quiet, and very near the Waipi'o overlook. Apartment is very clean and nicely furnished. Loved the eclectic decor! Kitchen is great, with everything you need to cook in. (You're a bit far from town, so restaurants may not be an option, and everything closes early in that part of Hawaii!). But if you want a secluded, serene island experience, this place is it!It IS a 2nd floor apartment, so not an option if you have mobility issues, but worked great for us.Definitely one of our favorite stays on the islands. Would definitely stay here again if we are back on the big island!Mahalo!"

"We couldn't have been happier with our week long stay! Well, maybe a master bedroom door upstairs. The views are spectacular, the beds and pillows were comfortable, plenty of towels and extra bedding is available and the kitchen is well stocked. The tradewinds that blew through the house were amazing! Our only complaint is the water was a little hotter than what we would consider warm, but not hot. My husband was okay with it. FYI: There is a trick to the master bathroom shower, it's a little difficult to get to turn hot on occasion. It will stay cold when it's turned to hot, other times it's just fine. It took me about 10 min. to figure it out the first day, but I just kept waiting and waiting. There was hot water downstairs, so I knew it had to be something. Finally, after turning it down and back up a couple times, it worked no problem. Knowledge is power. It was simple. We flew in to share in our 1st granddaughters 1st Birthday and had a little celebration dinner for her and lets just say she had a great time be-bopping around the space, we blocked the stairs with the ottoman, worked like a charm. They even had a highchair!It was close enough to everything, that we didn't feel like we were missing any action and could experience Kona, Honokaa, and Hilo without driving forever. The Views!!! Our daughter lives in Honokaa and we alternate yearly visits. We will be renting it again, if available, on our next trip.Thank you for such a wonderful home away from home."

"This little studio apartment was the perfect place for our getaway. The property it's beautiful, the apartment is clean, comfortable, and has a very authentic Hawaiian feel. Watching the sunrise from the outside kitchen in the mornings, listening to the birds while drinking your coffee... wow, just wow! Definitely an unbeatable experience. The hosts, Adelina and Buzz are gracious, helpful and friendly, but not intrusive in anyway. Can't wait to stay here again. "

"This is a very nice place to stay. Close to shopping, Starbucks, Foodliner and restaurants. Tucked just off the main road into Waimea. Very friendly staff. Clean, airy room. All recently remodeled."

"Perfect home for 3 couples as each have a bedroom and private bath. There was a great 6 seat indoor table as well as outdoor table that comfortably accommodated our meals together. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots, pans, etc you need to cook full meals. The grill outside worked well for us as well. The only thing missing was there were only 5 drink glasses, so one person didn’t get a glass. The views were very nice. The bathrooms were clean and had a new feel to them with the tile work and vanities. The towels and bed linens were great. 2 of the 3 bedrooms had air conditioning. All bedrooms had televisions as well as a large tv in the den. We even used the full size washer and dryer. They also had 2 ice chests available with several frozen ice packs in the freezer to use. The driveway accommodates 2 cars only and there is no street parking. "
