"This was my first stay with National 9 Motel. Booked it last minute because of the pricing for one night was competitive. It was not the best stay but not bad either. Pros: The room was just ok and clean for the most part. It looks renovated. Check-in process was very seamless. Walking distance to a few restaurants which is a plus and not too far from downtown and the boardwalk. Cons: The bed was too soft I sank in when I sat down, felt like a waterbed. I didn't not sleep well on it. The bed sheets had makeup and other weird stains which gave me the ick. Some of the large towels had dust bunnies on it which I avoided. Another thing was the noise level. The walls are thin and you can hear other guests. Also, you can hear the traffic because of the exits nearby."

"There is nothing that I can think of that I was not happy with! Everything about your Hotel was a very pleasant experience! We were traveling from California to Seattle on a road trip so it was nice to know that we could get some much needed rest and didn’t have to worry about loud noises! Thank you for all your hospitality! Much appreciated!"

"This is a cool location where you feel like you've really gotten away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The place is clean and comfortable. The patio offered a nice space to sit and enjoy the views with lots of trees, flowers and birds!Communication with the host was easy."

"Very clean. Staff were super helpful. Walking distance to stores and food. Shower pressure good and water hot. Pillows good, bed meh, highway is right next to it so some road noise but generally quiet. Parking is very tight so not great for bigger vehicles. For Santa Cruz and price its a good place. Not fancy but clean and ran well. Does the job but way more than the bare minumum."

"The property was fine but nothing special. Kind of pricey for 3 couples. Spacious living areas but not particularly warm and inviting. The third bathroom is off the kitchen…not near the bedrooms. Therefore 2 of the smaller bedrooms share one small bathroom. Only one hand towel, shower towel and washcloth per/person for 3 nights. No beach towels or extra amenities. The kitchen was ok but no extra spices or cooking oils etc…The back deck/porch was big but the furniture could use sprucing up as the cushions were worn and dirty. On the plus side we were given early entrance which was nice and made our travel to the area easier. The hot tub was clean and hot!"

"This place was incredbile - we wanted to move in! Light filled and spacious with a HUGE tub and a super comfy bed. The hosts thought of everything. There was a towel warmer, extra blankets and they even put bottles of shampoo, conditioner, ect out and provided any kind of cutlery we could ask for. We felt like we were staying in a little peaceful oasis. The hosts were gret to communicate with and the spot was SUPER peaceful - little rabbits all over the place. HIGHLY reccommend!"
