I think everything happens on a Saturday night. It was colorful and interesting. I can not put into words how hot it was, especially coming from New Zealand. Food and shopping are amazing. We did the river tour. recommended.

I love Malacca. Been many times. It's the best place in Malaysia (with Penang) to experience the history of Malaysia and tropical Asia that has been lost in so many of the big cities in the region.

Footpaths are few and far between with open gutters commonplace. Miss your step and you could sprain/break your ankle. Very charming place nonetheless. Food is cheap. Go to Swiss Garden and for a meal for great food and city views. Beer is cheap too!

We should have factored in Ramadan because some things were not available during our stay. The Taming Sari Tower was not open for us sadly
"The location is great, about 15mins walk to Jonker St. The road where the hotel is also very quiet so you'll get a good night sleep. The buffet breakfast is not huge but enough selection for Western and Asian palate.
Staff is accommodating and very friendly. The bed is super comfortable too! We had an amazing 4 days in this hotel!"
"Stayed for 4 nights and it was lovely. Breakfast was good, an easy walk to the night market. Any questions we had were quickly answered by staff. Room is a little rundown but nothing incredibly noticeable unless you really focus on it. All in all would definitely stay next time I come to Melaka."
