"While this stay lacks in the polished stays of a fancy resort it makes up ten-fold in charm and personality. This was the coziest most wonderful stay we've had on our trip yet and we'll definitely be back. "We had a wonderful stay at Yukairou Kikuya last week! The property is gorgeous and the private onsen in our room was wonderful and much appreciated after a long stay in Japan with much walking! We really enjoyed the town of Izu - Shizouka with its quaint feel, the lovely temple, bamboo forest and the beautiful river running through the town. It was such a lovely break from all the large city stays we had and my husband and I have already discussed returning without our tenn children as it is a very romantic property and is more suitable to adults. The traditional Japanese dinner and Western breakfast were all wonderful and we enjoyed the other amenities as well. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a lovely onsen stay during the visit to Japan!"
