"Beautiful Rakuten"

"Beautiful and funky property. The shared spaces were very nicely appointed with a room full of records and artsy books. Loved the indoor and outdoor onsens here as well. The tatami mats and floor seats were a unique experience as well. The only small negative is that it is a little off the beaten path but even with that point & that it was raining, we very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend."

"Great staff, nice view, clean room and nice onsen"

"A beautiful location, wonderful staff that made us excited to plan our next trip back. Luxurious rooms and a delicious meal planned where each dish was explained. What a wonderful stay."

"An amazing place the people the room, the food. All the areas are amazing."

"Amazing place, wished we stayed longer"

"Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable here. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable in a good location and we’d like to bring the house home with us! 😍"

"Western type property inspired by the Japanese aesthetic. Great onsen."

"Amazing ryokan Highly recommend!"

"Great"

"Incredible staff and well designed space."

"初めて利用しましたが、全体的に清掃が行き届いており、部屋付きのお風呂も素晴らしかったです。 何より夕食・夜食・朝食すべて素晴らしかったです。 サービス面でも細かい配慮をしていただいてありがたかったです。"

"Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area!"

"The hotel is just incredible the staff is absolutely lovely professional and helpful"

"The onsens and meals were very nice. It was an excellent experience of staying in a traditional ryokan. A bit of a hike if you walk up the to the ryokan from the train station and taxis are practically not present, luckily you can leave your luggage at the ryokan before check in and go explore the town"

"Very clean and modern, in a great location for the Hakone loop. The beds are VERY uncomfortable- both the futons and the single beds which are soooo noisy it’s impossible to sleep because every time you breathe they creak. Apart from the very poor sleep, this place had everything you needed with a well stocked kitchen and nice bathroom."

"Good location and good food"

"The Onsen was great. They worked very hard to provide vegetarian food for us. Not as efficient as the other hotels we stayed in about shipping luggage."

"Our ryokan stay was a highlight of our once-in-a-lifetime visit to Japan. The whole property was gorgeous and elegant and the staff were exceptionally friendly, even coming to pick us up after a sightseeing excursion. The onsens, both private and public/outdoor, were amazing and the multi-course dinner and breakfast were outstanding. Highly recommend this stay for a rewarding, authentically Japanese experience."

"Really beautiful location, quiet and very green. The staff were lovely and very helpful. A very relaxing atmosphere. Note that you are up in the mountains, so to get anywhere will require walking and busses, as there aren’t easily available taxis."
