"First, spring for the harbour view. Some of the other rooms may have film over half the windows. Breakfast was delicious and Joseph was a wonderful server. In the Que(bar) I highly recommend asking for Rebecka - so very cheerful and willing to accommodate your requests. Also, the concierge Mira was wonderful - both before and during our stay. Tea was a little bit of a let down. We were not informed we needed to arrive on the hour. The facilities such as the pool and hot tub were amazing. Overall the Empress is lovely.1"

"Location to Victoria harbour was great. BC transit is just outside and fairly cheap for a day pass although staff weren’t able to provide information about it. Good parking including secure underground. Hot tub was okay but has no jets. Pool was an okay temperature. Nice having a restaurant onsite as this hotel does not provide breakfast."

Oak Bay Beach Hotel

Oak Bay Beach Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Our 2-night, 3-day stay at Oak Bay Beach Hotel for our 21st anniversary was truly beyond amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely spoiled. We were so touched to be surprised with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our anniversary. 🥂 It was such a thoughtful gesture and the perfect start to our getaway. We enjoyed a beautiful brunch and a nightcap at The Snug, had the most incredible couples massages at the spa, and spent countless hours relaxing in the mineral pools, hot tubs, and gorgeous wooden sauna. The oceanfront setting, luxurious atmosphere, and attention to detail made it incredibly easy to forget about the outside world and simply enjoy being together. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and exceptional. The entire experience felt intimate, luxurious, and genuinely special. After 21 years together, we couldn’t have imagined a better place to celebrate. This truly felt like a bucket-list experience, and we left already knowing we want to make Oak Bay Beach Hotel our anniversary tradition for years to come. Thank you for helping us create such beautiful memories. We can’t wait to return next year. ❤️"

"If one is disabled or has trouble with stairs the first floor and best seats in the Dining area can be a challenge. We came in back door as that was the image seen in ad and had two sets of stairs up and one down with all our luggage. Once checked in since we were on first floor we once again had to go up 2 sets of stairs with our luggage. The room was great, breakfast was amazing"
