"This place is all about location. You are walking distance to not one but 2 beaches just minutes away! The golden rectangle is about a 20 minute walk. You can choose to walk the streets of Carmel and see all the interesting houses, or take the path that runs alongside the beach. The house was well kept and the kitchen well equipped. TV reception was a bit spotty and there is no DVD player as listed. The two bed/two bathroom setup is great. Washer and dryer are also a big plus when staying at the beach. There is a cozy fireplace as well, which is nice on a fall evening. All in all a great stay. "

"Our stay was beautiful! The hotel is stunning, with a friendly and attentive staff, eager to make your stay a happy one. The buffet breakfast with omelette and waffle station was fabulous. The hotel is an historical building so the rooms and bathrooms maintain the original footprint and size, which prohibited any enlargement of the very small bathroom. But given all the other perks La Playa offers we survived the small space and would definitely return. "
