「This is the most charming cottage. John and Arthur have thoughtfully created a comfortable and tranquil space. Yet, it is close to many fun restaurants, shopping and even breweries. Park Street in Alameda has it all. Easy into San Francisco on the ferry or a short car ride. If you’re lucky to have a chat with the hosts they are as charming and fascinating as the home they have curated. 」

「I was only there for one evening. I wanted to be close to the Oakland airport for my Monday mid morning flight to avoid traffic. It’s a perfect place for that. No need to get on the freeway and just a short 4-5 mile drive down the hill. Very pretty area too. Oh and the water pressure for the shower was awesome and heats up quick. Thank you again for a very convenient and peaceful stay! I will stay again when in the area. 」

「The owner was very accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed and even went out of her way to get us new pillows to match the ones we are used to at home. The place was comfortable, but small with only a small sink in the kitchenette and none in the bathroom. The off street parking was a plus.」

「Really nice in-law cottage with a lovely patio and garden. Close to freeway and Grand Lake Theatre, plenty of food options and a supermarket nearby. TV was a problem but Wi-Fi worked and we used our own tablets most of the time. Washer & dryer needs some knobs replaced but host was responsive & friendly about helping us find a workaround. Washed clothes just fine. Vehicle parking on street or at public lot nearby. Very nice place and I’d stay again!」

「We had an incredible time at this little cottage. The host is so friendly and helpful, making sure we had a travel crib for our 1 year old and giving lots of toddler-friendly suggestions for activities that we followed and really enjoyed. The cottage is cool and roomy but cosy, with a very comfy couch and nice open living area. Kitchen is well-equipped and well-stocked making it easy to cook, and the location is great as you can walk into town in 10 mins. Beds are comfy and cottage is quiet...

「What an incredible indoor/outdoor beach cottage esperience! So charming and relaxing. The icing on the cake for us with our 2 year old was being pleasantly surprised with a training seat on the toilet for her. We can’t wait to return soon. 「A wonderful location, great space and fantastic host!」

「I loved this little rental! It was perfectly located- just steps to an amazing beach, half mile walk along the road or beach to the cute little town, with an excellent restaurant for meals and coffee and pastries. The unit was very clean and comfortable inside and out, it had everything I needed in the kitchen, the bed was comfy and a nice outdoor space to sit. The property is in a great location for exploring the area. I will be back for sure! 」

「I am not sure if it's the property manager, who did call and apologize the next day, or VRBO processes and management. We were not able to access the property at midnight, having just arrived in Oakland. After repeated attempts to contact the property manager all day for a door code, I finally called VRBO. The property had been rented, possibly under a different company. I am not sure. We were left to find accomodations at 1 AM. The property was right by the family's house we were visiting so...
