Omg this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! From the beautiful Beaux Arts style of the hotel to the friendly, clean rooms and welcoming staff this hotel hands down won me over! If I could give this hotel 20 stars I would, I highly recommend this hotel, trust me you won’t be disappointed!

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The photos online do not accurately represent what you actually experience when you arrive. The hallways were in very poor condition, the carpets looked dirty and worn, and the doors and common areas desperately need painting and updating. The room itself was also underwhelming. The one positive was the bed, which was comfortable. The neighborhood was another major disappointment. We did not enjoy the location at all and did not feel it matched what we expected based on the hotel’s presentation online. Overall, the biggest issue for me was the difference between the photos and the reality. When you book a hotel based on the images provided, you expect the property to look and feel similar when you arrive. That was definitely not our experience here. The hotel needs significant updating and better upkeep. I would not stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at The Marker. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring San Francisco. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I especially loved being close to Union Square and having easy access to so many places around the city. I was traveling solo and felt comfortable during my stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to San Francisco!

I like that the hotel offered real coffee in the lobby for FREE in the mornings. The room was small but charming. Nice shower and good bed. The location is near the theaters and Union Square. The room was clean and the lobby is inviting and comfortable. I’d stay here again and you should too.
