「This property is the site of an old school motel that has not changed much at all from the outside but the rooms are beautifully renovated. Great style and function, even if they are smaller. Our biggest call out was the odd array of heating and cooling units with no instructions, and no exhaust fan in bathroom. Also there was no one onsite to assist, and when we called, we got an AI bot. However, all-in-all we loved the design and had a nice time off season and the price was excellent!」

「Check-in was quick and easy. Room was clean and spacious. Only complaint was regarding maid service. We left the room available from 0700 to almost 1500. Room had not been cleaned. We decided to put out the do not disturb sign. We got a text message close to 1600, asking if we wanted maid service because they were leaving for the day. We opted out of maid service for the day.」

「Lovely beach hotel with great views. Easy walking to Washington Street shopping area and grocery store (a few blocks). Staff were very friendly. Notes: no elevator, which they are up front about, and the office is closed until 8am. We stayed during off-season, which may affect hours.」

「The staff was very helpful and friendly! The room was very small! A few things didn’t work but they sent a maintenance man quickly. Room definitely needed better lighting and some outlets. No views from our windows. Very unappealing. Breakfast was very simple, nothing fancy or special. It was fine. Location is great! We walked everywhere. We had a great time, just spent very little time in the actual bandb.」

「Beautiful beach view from our room and balcony. The room was lovely. The staff was very accommodating and let us into our room early to get changed for a wedding. We did not use the pool or bar as it was very chilly. We would definitely stay there again. 」

「The Hugh is everything you want in a Bed and Breakfast in Cape May. The owners are engaged, on site, and approachable. The location is perfect, no need to move your car once you park. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast is outstanding. We will be back. 」
