"Our room definitely didn't look like the pictures! It was extremely tired and old ... the curtains were broken and hanging off hooks in places. The kitchen was awful and I didn't use it. The bathroom was fine, the beds were fine. It didn't feel "grubby" but I had to wonder when the last time the carpets or bread spreads or mattresses might have been cleaned. Mostly though the conditions of the curtains was just utterly foul. With regards to location, we didn't know the area at all. Finding it from the train station using google maps was quite complicated. Getting ubers to and from for the evening event we attended, and to go to the Fish Markets the next morning, was very challenging. The Uber drivers couldn't find us, both times, and it's a really tricky actual physical address. Keep that in mind if like us, you don't know the area. The most disappointing thing, which wouldn't be a big deal for most I'm sure, is that I was only there for one night, for an awards event at The Rocks. I'd booked hair and makeup to come to the hotel, but the lighting in the room was appalling. Luckily the make-up artist had brought portable lights, but even so, if you want a room that you can actually see properly - this isn't the room/hotel for you! Would I stay there again? If I had no other options, then yes. The front desk was very clean and friendly, so that was something!"

"Beautiful location with spacious, comfortable rooms on every level. For this stay, we upgraded to a Harbour View room on one of the upper floors, and it was absolutely worth it — the panoramic views were spectacular! The staff are always welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out are also incredibly easy, with the option to do everything through the app or at the hotel, making arrival at any time a breeze. A beautiful place to stay and one we would happily return to!"

"A true five-star experience! You simply can’t beat the location. Pier One Sydney Harbour is in the heart of everything, with beautiful, spacious rooms, stylish decor, breathtaking harbor and city views, and arguably the best sunset view in Sydney. My husband and I stayed for the Sydney Marathon, and the staff was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. They went above and beyond by providing all the runners staying at the hotel with prepackaged gifts filled with snacks and goodies for race weekend. Such a thoughtful and memorable touch! Easily one of our best hotel stays. Highly recommend Pier One to anyone visiting Sydney. We’ll absolutely be back on our next visit!"
