Hotel is perfectly located to walk to the piers, the rocks, the opera house, catch a train into the city or a ferry to Manly or the zoo. Rooms are very large - you will be comfortable and able to stretch out while you are there. The common space on the ground floor is very nice, although sunset spots on the dock tend to book fast. The room has a mechanical shade you can lower with a light switch which is also helpful if you want to sleep in. For runners (which we were) there is a constant stream of people running past the hotel and a great route to the opera house and Macquarie’s seat.
Small gripes: the gym there is minimalist and not really helpful - you also have to walk through the server’s space to get there. The shower is also oddly small - European in its smallness. Parking is crazy expensive and they throw you in a lot across the street behind a chain-link fence.
