Find Hotel with a Concierge in Tateshina

Stayed in the glamping tent with my family of four (including a 5 & 9 yr old). Such a wonderful spot - tent was comfy w/ a dedicated toilet/sink room in a separate adjacent little building. Had a wonderful fire pit which the staff lit for us in the evening at the time we requested (on our was back from dinner we texted them from their very helpful app). All amenities in the main building were super clean, very new, and meticulously curated in a minimalist style. It had (x3) private Onsen baths...

A 5 star experience in a wonderful wooded area of the city. Striking design and great ambience combined with top level amenities, excellent food and friendly staff make the stay at this hotel an experience that I will always remember. Get ready to be spoiled when staying at this hotel! Part of the amenities also includes plenty of parking and a free shuttle service to the train station.

This ryokan is the best location in Matsumoto! Along with being beautiful and super clean, you literally walk out the front door and you’re on an idyllic street with restaurants and shops. It’s also walkable from the train station, and a short walk to the castle. If you’re looking for a traditional ryokan, this is it! The host also speaks great English and is very helpful if you need anything.

The location of the hotel is in an excellent place with proximity to the central castle in the city.

En route to Kusatsu this was a great stay. Parking included. Clean rooms. Private onsen. Highly suggest the local eatery Kei's which is only 5 minutes away by car and open late. Great stay!

I wanted to use the laundry. Coin Laundry is 20 minutes walk from the hotel.

オーナーのご夫婦の人柄がとても素敵です。こちらのコテージを45年経営しているそうですが、よくメンテナンスされており清潔で、料理もおいしいです。旦那さんの弟さんが、アメリカのメーン州で留学をされていたそうですが、内観も外観も、ステイしていた牧師さんのお家をインスピレーションに作られているそうです。私の夫はアメリカ人ですが、夫も父方の祖父の家に似ていると言っていました。家具や調度品がとても素敵です。 また、夜は無料で暖炉でマシュマロを焼かせてくださいます。またご夫婦に会いにこちらに泊まりたいです。

We enjoyed this hotel during a brief getaway during the summer to escape the Tokyo heat. The hotel is located in a very nice location in old Karuizawa (Kyo-Karuizawa), close to many nice restaurants and little shops, while also being very quite. Rooms are very large and modern, the hotel has its own hot spring (onsen), and high speed internet is free. Very friendly staff and a large and tasty breakfast buffer. We definitely plan to visit again.

Tyler, Mari, Andy and Mio were fantastic hosts, The kaiseki-style food was amazing (I opted for the half board; the ultimate way to go). From the moment I had walked into the ryokan, I had felt like my dreams had come true. From what I had only imagined and seen in anime/videos to actually experiencing a traditional ryokan with traditional Japanese-styled rooms. Reasonable price Enjoyed hotspring, Sauna, Kids room, and swimming pool with my 2 year old kid. Room is very big and comfotable. C/in took about 30mins, recommend arrive at the property before 3PM or after 4PM.

Very delicious breakfast, prepared by friendly staff.
