"Nice, quiet and clean"

"Very convenient location, lots of walkable shops and grocery stores, winter and summer sports equipment rental shops, right in front of the Lake Tahoe, great view, the hotel has a dry sauna, outdoor firepits, which adds ambience. The gold club right next to the hotel. What I didn't like: since we were at the first floor, we can hear guests above our room walking or dropping things, it was little bit loud, the walls are not soundproof enough, even in the morning you can hear guests walking on hallways, and it was loud. "I have been staying at The Crown for over 30 years. First with my parents as a child, and now with my own child. Love the beach access, and walkability. The remodeled pool area is great! Only thing I would note is the need for adaptive equipment (ex: grab bar in shower) specifically for older guests; and some of the window treatments could use an upgrade. But it’s the perfect place to bring your family and spend some quality time - winter and summer alike. "

"Staff was nice, room was clean. Smores are a cute touch for kids. We enjoyed the stay and would come back. Only thing is that the bowls were too small for cereal, and there was no spatula for eggs in the kitchen. Expedia needs to update their info though to say that pool isn't heated year round, and that the hotel holds the cost of the total stay on your credit card immediately after booking. "
